So if you’re stopping by this page I’m guessing that you want to know a little bit about the person behind the keyboard.
Well I’m Deb, I’m a 34 year old wife to a nerd and mum to an amazing five year old girl and we are from the UK. I struggle with fertility issues as I have been told that I have a low ovarian reserve and I am currently trying to lose weight. I want to lose the weight for a few reasons, the first being that I want to be healthier so that I can be around and be the best version of myself possible for my daughter – I also want to be a good role model for her so losing weight will help that too.
I’d also love to feel happy and confident in my own skin which I’m sure my hubby will benefit from and lastly, I need to lose weight in order to be able to get fertility medication from the specialists at our hospital so that we can try and add to our family. The medication that I need is apparently proven to work better on women with a BMI of 30 or less – I currently have a BMI of 37 and need to lose roughly 45lbs.
My overall goal will be to get down to 140lbs as that is the mid point of what the NHS says is a healthy weight range for me and at last check that leaves me with about 100lbs to lose.
So that’s me and where I am right now. Thanks for reading and please feel free to follow me throughout my journey!
